Dr. WANG Ding’an, dicussed the Catholic view of the soul and the Confucian view of hun-po (soul, spirit, etc.), and pointed out that a “fusion of vision” continued to take form in this interpretive cycle, which has constituted a vital part of Chinese thought since the late Ming Dynasty.

WANG Ding’an, Lecturer at Zhejiang Unviersity of Technology. He received his Ph.D. from Fudan University. Currently he is a visiting scholar at Center on Religion and Chinese Society in Purdue University.
